Al-Masad The Palm Fibre

1. بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ ۝١

   111:1 The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish.

2. مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ ۝٢

   111:2 His wealth and gains will not exempt him.

3. سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ ۝٣

   111:3 He will be plunged in flaming Fire,

4. وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ ۝٤

   111:4 And his wife, the wood-carrier,

5. فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ ۝٥

   111:5 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre.
