IslamicGo Terms of Use

The service

IslamicGo offers prayer times, the qibla direction, a Quran reader, dhikr, habit and khatam tools, khatam groups and Ask AI. The core features cost nothing, while Plus and answer packs are optional purchases made inside the app.

AI answers are not fatwas

Ask arranges Quran verses, sahih and hasan hadith and tafsir with the help of AI, and marks the source behind each statement. It is not a fatwa and it can be wrong. For rulings about your own situation, such as divorce, inheritance shares or a medical case, consult a mufti, your local religious authority or a qualified scholar.

Every answer has a Report button. Please use it whenever you see a mistake, and we review what is reported.

Prayer times and qibla

Prayer times are calculated astronomically with the method and Asr school you choose, and they can differ by a few minutes from the timetable of your mosque or local authority. The Match my mosque feature lets you line the app up with your mosque's timetable. When you are unsure about the start of a prayer or a fast, follow your mosque or local religious authority.

Daily limits and answer packs

Ask has a daily limit for everyone so that the service stays affordable. Free users can ask a small number of questions each day, and Plus raises that limit, including Lifetime Plus. Answer packs add answers that never expire and are used once the daily limit runs out. The current limits are always shown in the app, and we may change them with notice in the app.

Subscriptions and purchases

• Plus is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase, through Google Play or the App Store. The store shows the price, any paid introductory offer and taxes before you confirm.
• Payment is charged to your Google Play or Apple account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Google Play or App Store account settings at any time.
• Deleting the app or your IslamicGo account does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple, so a refund request goes through the store under its own policy.

Your account

An account is optional. If you create one, keep access to your Google, Apple or email account secure, because anyone who can sign in to it can use your IslamicGo account. One account can be linked to up to five devices, and you can delete it at any time as explained on the Delete account page.

Acceptable use

Please use IslamicGo for its purpose. You agree not to misuse the service, which includes trying to get around daily limits, sending automated or bulk requests, copying Ask answers at scale, interfering with our servers, impersonating someone, or using IslamicGo for anything unlawful. We may limit or suspend access for anyone who misuses the service.

Khatam groups

Names in a khatam group are visible to everyone who has the group link. Do not use names that are offensive, that impersonate someone or that contain another person's private information. The group creator can remove names, anyone can report a name, and we may remove names or groups that break these terms.

Content and licences

The Quran text comes from the Tanzil Project under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 licence and is reproduced without changes. City data comes from GeoNames under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Translations, hadith collections and other sources are credited where they appear, and the full list is on the About and licences page. The IslamicGo name, app design and mascot belong to IslamicGo.

No warranty

We work hard to keep IslamicGo accurate and available, but the service is provided as it is, without any promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, IslamicGo is not liable for indirect or consequential losses that arise from using or being unable to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, we update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will give notice in the app or on this website before they take effect, and continuing to use IslamicGo after that means you accept the new terms.
