It helps to mention your phone model and the app version. For a question about prayer times, add your city and the calculation method shown in the app.
Common questions
The prayer times do not match my mosque
Mosques often add a few minutes of safety margin or follow a different calculation method. Open the Prayer screen, tap "Times don’t match your mosque?" and enter your mosque’s times for today. The app finds the calculation method that comes closest, then shifts each prayer by a few minutes so it matches your mosque’s timetable, and your adhan alerts follow the new times.
Mosque timetables move with the seasons, so the app reminds you to check again from time to time. You can also change the calculation method and Asr school yourself in Me, Settings.
The adhan does not sound
Open the Prayer screen and tap Test adhan. A test adhan sounds 10 seconds later, and the app points out any setting that is holding it back, with a button to fix each one. On Android the usual causes are notifications turned off for the app, exact alarms not allowed, or battery optimisation pausing the app while the phone is idle, which often affects Fajr.
If the app settings look right, check your phone’s notification volume, silent mode and Do Not Disturb or Focus.
How do I restore my purchase?
On a new phone or after reinstalling, open Me, Settings and tap Restore purchases while you are signed in to the same Google Play or Apple account you used to buy Plus.
If you were signed in to a IslamicGo account when you bought Plus or an answer pack, signing in with that account on another phone or on islamicgo.com brings them with you, on up to five devices.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by the store you bought from. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Is Ask AI a fatwa service?
No. Ask arranges Quran verses, sahih and hasan hadith and tafsir with the help of AI and shows the source behind each statement. For a ruling about your own situation, please ask a qualified scholar or your local religious authority, and use the Report button on any answer that looks wrong.
