Al-Mutaffifin Defrauding

-
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ ١
83:1 Woe unto the defrauders:
-
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ ٢
83:2 Those who when they take the measure from mankind demand it full,
-
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ ٣
83:3 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss.
-
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ ٤
83:4 Do such (men) not consider that they will be raised again
-
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ٥
83:5 Unto an Awful Day,
-
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ٦
83:6 The day when (all) mankind stand before the Lord of the Worlds?
-
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍ ٧
83:7 Nay, but the record of the vile is in Sijjin -
-
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ ٨
83:8 Ah! what will convey unto thee what Sijjin is! -
-
كِتَـٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ ٩
83:9 A written record.
-
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ١٠
83:10 Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
-
ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ ١١
83:11 Those who deny the Day of Judgment
-
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ ١٢
83:12 Which none denieth save each criminal transgressor,
-
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَـٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٣
83:13 Who, when thou readest unto him Our revelations, saith: (Mere) fables of the men of old.
-
كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ ١٤
83:14 Nay, but that which they have earned is rust upon their hearts.
-
كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ ١٥
83:15 Nay, but surely on that day they will be covered from (the mercy of) their Lord.
-
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا۟ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ١٦
83:16 Then lo! they verily will burn in hell,
-
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ١٧
83:17 And it will be said (unto them): This is that which ye used to deny.
-
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ ١٨
83:18 Nay, but the record of the righteous is in 'Illiyin -
-
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ ١٩
83:19 Ah, what will convey unto thee what 'Illiyin is! -
-
كِتَـٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ ٢٠
83:20 A written record,
-
يَشْهَدُهُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ٢١
83:21 Attested by those who are brought near (unto their Lord).
-
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ ٢٢
83:22 Lo! the righteous verily are in delight,
-
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ٢٣
83:23 On couches, gazing,
-
تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ٢٤
83:24 Thou wilt know in their faces the radiance of delight.
-
يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍ مَّخْتُومٍ ٢٥
83:25 They are given to drink of a pure wine, sealed,
-
خِتَـٰمُهُۥ مِسْكٌ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلْمُتَنَـٰفِسُونَ ٢٦
83:26 Whose seal is musk - for this let (all) those strive who strive for bliss -
-
وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ ٢٧
83:27 And mixed with water of Tasnim,
-
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ٢٨
83:28 A spring whence those brought near (to Allah) drink.
-
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَضْحَكُونَ ٢٩
83:29 Lo! the guilty used to laugh at those who believed,
-
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ ٣٠
83:30 And wink one to another when they passed them;
-
وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ فَكِهِينَ ٣١
83:31 And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting;
-
وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ ٣٢
83:32 And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray.
-
وَمَآ أُرْسِلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ حَـٰفِظِينَ ٣٣
83:33 Yet they were not sent as guardians over them.
-
فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ ٣٤
83:34 This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers,
-
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ٣٥
83:35 On high couches, gazing.
-
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ ٣٦
83:36 Are not the disbelievers paid for what they used to do?
