Asy-Syarh The Consolation

1. بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ ۝١

   94:1 Have We not caused thy bosom to dilate,

2. وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ ۝٢

   94:2 And eased thee of the burden

3. ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ ۝٣

   94:3 Which weighed down thy back;

4. وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ ۝٤

   94:4 And exalted thy fame?

5. فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ۝٥

   94:5 But lo! with hardship goeth ease,

6. إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ۝٦

   94:6 Lo! with hardship goeth ease;

7. فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ ۝٧

   94:7 So when thou art relieved, still toil

8. وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب ۝٨

   94:8 And strive to please thy Lord.
